Another important reason why 3S Panel Bridges are selected for a permanent bridge solutions is the ease of their installation. These bridges are launched into position using a series of rollers, removing the need to use heavy cranes or temporary support systems across the gap being crossed. 3S Bridge will design the launching and installation scheme for each site and provide assistance for the assembly of the bridge.
The launching procedure involves the assembly of the bridge on a dry level surface behind one of the abutments and incrementally rolling the bridge sequentially into place. The launching requires the use of a lightweight nose, comprised of standard bridge components, which are removed from site and used at another location.
When available and in certain circumstances where there is insufficient space to launch the bridge, a crane assisted launch can be a cost-effective alternative.
